The Timberline project was divided into three phases to fit available funding. The first phase was an investigative phase. The second phase included temporary stabilization, installation of wire mesh and cables around the two fireplace room chimneys and the head house chimney, and a temporary 70 foot high steel chimney servicing the boilers. The last phase of this project included dismantling the boiler chimney, stone-by-stone, cataloging the stones, and then reconstructing the chimney. The remaining three chimney restorations and replacements were designed and documented in 2006.
