The Harrison West Condominium is a historic, modern high-rise residential complex completed in 1965 and designed by Skidmore Owings and Merrill, better known as SOM architects.  It is set in the South Auditorium District of Portland, Oregon the pedestrian zone designed by Lawrence Halprin.

Galvanized steel domestic water piping is original and has outlived its usefulness resulting in frequent leaks and inefficient water delivery.  Also, the current system provides no shut-off capability for each dwelling unit and there are no individual water meters.

The re-piping project, although primarily mechanical work, involves extensive architectural coordination and design, since installing of new piping will breach the interior firewalls at 100’s of locations and at all residential units.  In addition to the high-rise tower the project includes 12 free-standing townhouses and the vast underground parking garage.
